Babachir David Lawal |
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Engr. Babachir David Lawal on Friday declared that President Buhari’s administration is gender-sensitive.
He said though the administration is gender-sensitive, it does not compromise competency and integrity.
Lawal made the declaration when members of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) paid a courtesy call on him in his office.
The SGF lauded the association’s support for the anti-corruption crusade, war against insurgency and other policies of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.
Lawal charged the organisation to articulate its proposals and requests, with a view to enabling the federal government have a proper appraisal that would make it possible for Nigerian women to be appointed into the offices they are competent to handle in tandem with the government’s policy of transparency and accountability.
The SGF equally enjoined the group to sensitise its numerous members on the need for them to help in the fight against corruption right from their various homes by ensuring that ill-gotten wealth does not enter their homes through whatever means.
Lawal assured them that his door was always open and thanked them for the visit.
