Affirmation of Wike’s Removal is a Birthday Gift for Obuah – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Rivers State chapter, has described the 

 

Appeal Court judgment, which affirmed the sack of Governor Nyesom Wike, as a birthday gift to the chair­man of the Peoples Demo­cratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Felix Obuah.

A statement issued in Port Harcourt yester­day by the Publicity Sec­retary of APC in the state, Mr. Chris Finebone, said: “APC is happy to recognise that yesterday is the birth­day of Obuah, We are glad to offer him this Appeal Court judgment as a perfect birthday gift.”

The party said it received with satisfaction, the verdict of the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, which up­held the judgment of the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribu­nal, which sacked Gover­nor Wike.

According to the pub­licity secretary, the party considered the decision of the appellate court, to the effect that the Independent National Electoral Commis­sion (INEC) did not comply substantially with the provi­sions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended), as trite and incontrovertible.
