Enugu State Commissioner for Education, Professor Uche Eze cuts tape to unveil new resource centre as Caroline Oghuma (L), Public Relations Manager, DStv, looks on

MultiChoice Nigeria, leading provider of video entertainment services, has once again reiterated its commitment to enhancing education in the country with its resource centre intervention by donating additional digital learning aids to 10 schools in Enugu State.

This brings the number of the resource centres in the state to 17.

The Enugu State Government has warned the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, to stop creating unnecessary tension in the State.

In a statement issued on Sunday by Dr. Udeuhele Ikechukwu Godwin, the Commissioner for Information, in the State, he said government had put measures to stop any group from threatening the existing peace in the State.

Former Deputy Governor of Enugu state, Sunday Onyebuchi

About 14 months after he was controversially impeached by the 5th session of the State House of Assembly for alleged gross misconduct, relief came the way of former Deputy Governor of Enugu state, Sunday Onyebuchi on Friday as an Enugu High Court presided over by Justice R. O. Odugu quashed the impeachment.

The court, in the judgement that lasted for over an hour, also ordered the restoration of all the rights and benefits of the former deputy governor from the time of his removal up to May 29, 2015 when the his tenure constitutionally elapsed.

Jubilation in Enugu as Nnamdi Kanu Regains Freedom

ENUGU-Wild jubilation erupted in major streets of Enugu metropolis,Thursday, as the news of the release of detained Director,Radio Biafra,Nnamdi Kanu filtered in.

Nnamdi was arrested on October 17, by security operatives, shortly after he arrived Nigeria from his base in the United Kingdom which prompted over one month groundswell protests in the south-east and parts of south-south geopolitical zones demanding for his unconditional release.
