AFDB President, Akinwumi Adesina, Receives Honors From Alma Mater, OAU University, Nigeria

The President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, has received an Honorary Doctorate Degree (Doctor of Science, Honoris Causa) from his Alma Mater, Obafemi Awolowe University, in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. 

Speaking at the ceremony on Saturday, December 12, the Vice Chancellor of the University extolled the virtues and achievements of President Adesina, adding that he is a son of the soil that has earned not only the award, but also the respect of all present.

Osun Secondary School Students Arraigned For Attacking Teachers

The Osun state Police Command, Friday, arraigned no fewer than six suspected cultists from St. Marks Anglican High School and Adenle Middle School in Osogbo before an Oshogbo Magistrate Court.

The accused persons, according to reports, were arrested on 7th December for causing breach of peace by disturbing school activities of the school and attacking their teachers with cutlasses and clubs on the said date at St. Marks Anglican High School, Osogbo.
